LUNATICCONSTRUCTION and its LunaBlocks will be ARTYDANDY partner for an exhibition and limited edition sale of objects, fashion items, and exceptional artworks from March 29 to May 24 of 2008 at the Bon Marché.

The official opening celebration will be on the 3rd of April.

Inventors and builders of things ephemeral, Thierry Nahon & Philippe Landecker created LUNATIC CONSTRUCTION SAS in July 2007 so as to give the original concept of « Lunablocks® » every chance for success.

A creative idea thus became an innovative international marketing initiative. Thanks to technological innovation, a significant research program and a brave and independent entrepreneurial approach, the necessary corporate structures (Creative Design, Technical Studies, Printing, Production, Communications, Sales and Marketing) have been put into place to ensure future development.

Sponsored by OSEO Financement and OSEO Innovation Ile de France, LUNATIC CONSTRUCTION SAS is an innovative, young company that has qualified for funding from mutual funds specializing in innovation.

Story

Thierry Nahon & Philippe Landecker met on a film set, where they were respectively working as director and set designer. They realized that they shared a common passion and ambition: both were inventors who dreamed of seeing their creations used in the world of contemporary art and design.

Capricious and determined that one day's hope would not become tomorrow's obligation, Nahon & Landecker dreamed of creating a changing living environment where the desire to change and to move could become reality in an instant.

They began to search for an object that would be able to be built (and re-built) in a living space with total freedom of expression and invention. Their hope was to create furnishings and objects that would no longer be inanimate. They found inspiration in a basic object that they had known as children, which led them to develop a building game having adult dimensions, a game that is a link with the past but also a source of current-day assurance. It was thus that they created an original, fun, practical, sustainable and universal object, now known as « LunaBlocks©».

The concept of « LUNATICCONSTRUCTION » was born.

Ancestral instinct, Evolving design

Lunaticconstruction® and LunaBlocks® awake in each of us an essential need and an ancestral instinct – the desire to create one's own home and to build one's own furnishings. This primitive concept has led to a new approach in space and design, which can now be adapted with total freedom of expression and invention.

Thanks to a basic object form that has been integrated into the mind at childhood, a new, universal form has emerged, now adapted to adult dimensions and calling back reassurance and reminiscences from the past.

The innovation, represented by the commercial production of LunaBlocks and the marketing of a primitive and contemporary « design game », is part of a new initiative, that of sustainable design. « primitif design » is a new concept that has now arrived in the world of decorative arts.
